The Alfred Kordelin Foundation’s main application round ended on Monday, August 15, 2022 at midnight Finnish time. The number of applicants increased by 1.7 percent compared to last year. 3,111 grant applications were submitted this year and 3,059 last year.
The most grants were applied for in culture for visual arts, literature, and music. In science, the Foundation supports researchers finishing their dissertations and starting their post-doc research. The most applicants were in medical and health sciences, social sciences and history. The most popular fields in both culture and science were the same last year as well.
The evaluation of grant applications starts in August. We will inform the applicants about the decisions by the beginning of November at the latest.
deadline of Progress statements is 22. August
In science, the supervisor’s statement and diploma/dissertation permits must be submitted by August 22, 2022 at the latest. At the request of the applicant, the statement is submitted by the work supervisor/other person familiar with the applicant’s work to the online reference service.
