The Kordelin Foundation’s grants for science, art, and public education are open for applications annually in August. The application period is 15–31 August. The foundation’s funding aims to support long-term and goal-oriented work and to address societal challenges.
Science grants support the career development of to support newly graduated PhDs and them to advance in their careers. The funding supports new ideas and initiatives and promotes the role and significance of scientific knowledge in society.
Art grants support the internationalization and national recognition of the arts. Personal grants are intended for goal-oriented work that will set the applicant apart and challenge them as an artist. Collective grants supports ambitious projects that create new kinds of content, practices or audience experiences.
Public education grants are awarded for projects which strengthen the role of research and expertise-based knowledge and critical thinking and promote making knowledge available to a wider audience. The funding supports and strenghten the critical thinking, diverse voices and democracy.
