In total, the Alfred Kordelin Foundation will award €3.5 million in the August application round.
Science grants. The purpose of the grants is to support newly graduated doctors on their career paths and enable them to advance in their careers. The funding supports new ideas and initiatives and promotes the role and significance of scientific knowledge in society.
Art grants support the internationalization and national recognition of the arts. Personal grants are intended for goal-oriented work that will set the applicant apart and challenge them as an artist. Collective grants support ambitious projects that create new kinds of content, practices or audience experiences. Grants are awarded to different artistic fields every other year. In 2026, grants are available for literature and the performing arts.
Public education grants are awarded for projects which strengthen the role of research and expertise-based knowledge and critical thinking and promote making knowledge available to a wider audience. The funding supports and strengthens the critical thinking, diverse voices and democracy.
