Statements for Science Grant Applications – Deadline 31 August

The Alfred Kordelin Foundation’s Science grants are open for applications from 15 to 31 August 2026. Please note that an optional statement must be submitted through the Foundation’s online statement system by 31 August at 4:00 p.m. (Finnish time). Statement is not mandatory.

Science grants are awarded to recent PhD graduates and post-doctoral researchers at the early stages of their career. The purpose of the grants is to support newly graduated doctors on their career paths and enable them to advance in their careers. The grant enables them to work after completion of their doctoral degree to deepen and develop the results of their doctoral work further. We fund work that has societal, scientific, educational or commercial development potential.

A statement for a science grant application is an optional attachment, submitted by the referee at the request of the applicant. The referee may be, for example, the head of a research group or the applicant’s project partner.

Please note that statements must be submitted to the online statement system by 31 August at 4:00 p.m. (Finnish time). Late submissions will not be considered. Submitting a statement requires logging in to the service.
