New Classics fund supports the work and growth of artists who have already established themselves in the field of art in Finland. By encouraging new forms of cooperation across funding schemes, it aims to increase the life cycle, audience, circulation and visibility of works and productions.

New Classics is a new fund that was set up jointly by the State and four foundations: the Finnish Cultural Foundation, Svenska kulturfonden, the Alfred Kordelin Foundation and the Jenny and Antti Wihuri Foundation.

The purpose of the New Classics fund is to support the work and growth of artists who have already established themselves in the field of art in Finland. By encouraging new forms of cooperation across funding schemes, it aims to increase the life cycle, audience, circulation and visibility of works and productions.

New Classics grants are awarded in alternate years to artists working in performance and visual arts.
