Grants: August application

The Alfred Kordelin Foundation awards grants for science, art and public education. In personal grants for science and art, the particular focus is on the grant recipient’s career path and professional development. Public education grants are awarded for projects which strengthen the role of research and expertise-based knowledge and critical thinking and promote making knowledge available to a wider audience. The application period is 15-31 August.

Major Cultural Projects

Major Cultural Projects are our key projects that tackle societal challenges through the perspectives of science, art, and public enlightenment. We aim to open up new perspectives and solutions. The projects are ambitious and impactful, aiming for long-term continuity. The application period is 15-31 January.

City funds

The City Funds of the Kordelin Foundation promote local arts and culture. The grants support projects that promote the common good, build dialogue, and create new ways to work and cooperate. Grants from city funds can be applied for every other year. The application period is 15-31 January.

Post Doc Pool

Post Doc Pool is a grant resource set up by Finnish foundations, all members of the Association of Finnish Foundations, and intended for post-doctoral research abroad. Säätiöiden post doc -pooli has two application rounds per year: the spring application round in January, and the autumn application round from 15 August to 15 September.

New Classics

New Classics fund supports the work and growth of artists who have already established themselves in the field of art in Finland. By encouraging new forms of cooperation across funding schemes, it aims to increase the life cycle, audience, circulation and visibility of works and productions. The application period is 1-15 September every year.
