August grant application round 1.-15.8.2020

Grants are awarded for sciences, literature, arts and public education for individuals, working groups and collectives.

Alfred Kordelin Foundation’s August grant application round will start on Saturday 1th August and ends 15th August 24:00 in Finnish time. The application form will open in online service at the same time when the application period starts, 1th August. Please read instructions for Grant Applicant. The Foundation awards primarily personal working grants for a duration of 12 or 6 months, and with a maximum amount of € 24,000 or € 12,000, for work on science literature, arts and public education. Project grants can be awarded to working groups and collectives. A project grant can be max. €30,000, for a max. duration of 12 months.

Sciences – For the finalization of Ph.D work and for the beginning post doc -researchers

Grants are awarded to private individuals for final stages and finalization of Ph.D. work in various sciences, for beginning post doctoral researchers, travelling to congresses and work as a visiting scholar. Grants are not awarded for first degrees, or to working groups and collectives. Read more: August application round | Sciences

Literature

Grants are awarded for work on literature, dramatic art and translating literature into Finnish. Project grants can be awarded to working groups and collectives.

Arts

Grants are awarded for artistic work in visual arts, music, applied arts, handicrafts, photography, dance and video art, architecture, and doctoral dissertations in the arts. Project grants can be awarded to working groups and collectives. Read more: August application round | Arts

Public education

Grants are awarded for the production of researched and expertise-based information to the general public for non-fiction books, mass communication and for projects which promotes knowledge and key competences of lifelong learning. Kordelin Foundation office is closed in July (1.-31.7.2020). We are open again starting from  Monday 3th August at weekdays between 9am to 4pm. We serve grant applicants and also grantees by phone and email.
